Capturing the measurements of a large building, facility, or crash/crime scene with conventional documentation methods can take days or weeks, and even then, the data might contain errors or missing details. But FARO Focus Premium creates accurate, complete and photorealistic 3D representations of any environment or object in just a few minutes. Focus Premium is easy to operate and offers built-in protection from dirt, dust, fog, rain and heat/ cold.
And, for best on-site data capture, Focus Premium connects with the new FARO Stream app, bridging FARO hardware to the FARO Sphere cloud environment. Pre-registration scans are fed directly into the cloud, so jobs can be done more efficiently — feedback is captured and processed as you work.
Up to 50% faster scan times
About 1 minute to complete a typical scan, in combination with the optional FARO PanoCam upgrade, even in color.
Super-High Color Resolution
The latest color technology enables the Focus Premium to capture scans with up to 266 megapixel color information.
Two-Year warranty
Competitive service means maximizing the life of this product while reducing the total cost of ownership throughout the device’s lifespan. Two years allows for maximum flexibility and the piece of mind knowing that any repairs or defective parts will be replaced.
Software Compatibility
Process your Focus Laser Scanner point cloud data with any software tool that fits your workflow, including FARO software solutions and third-party software such as Autodesk® ReCap™.
Multiple Point Clouds, Multiple Devices

FARO Laser Tracker Vantage
FARO Vantage provides the world's most complete laser tracking solution, It is an extremely accurate, portable coordinate measuring machine that enables you to build products, optimize processes, and deliver solutions by measuring quickly, simply and precisely. Replacing conventional tools such as piano wire, plumb bobs, layout machines, large-volume fixed CMMs, theodolites, optical transits, and total stations, the Vantage is a more accurate and reliable portable 3D measurement tool that allows you to streamline your processes and be confident in your measurement results.
The FARO Vantage creates ground-breaking efficiencies in applications such as alignment, machine installation, component inspection, tool building and setup, manufacturing and assembly integration, and reverse engineering. Companies are saving millions of dollars by completing jobs faster, reducing downtime, eliminating costly scrap, and getting accurate, consistent, and reportable measurement data. With the Vantage you can produce more competitive products, accelerate product improvement initiatives, and deliver high-performing products for today’s technical marketplace. As the world’s most trusted source for 3D measurement technology, FARO has reinvented high accuracy, large volume measurement with the Vantage. Offering a breakthrough in laser tracker technology, the FARO Vantage provides the world’s most complete laser tracking solutions
How the FARO Vantage works
The operation of the Laser Tracker is easy to understand - it measures two angles and a distance. First, the Tracker sends a laser beam to a retroreflective target held against the object to be measured. Light is then reflected off the target and retraces its path, re-en-tering the Tracker at the same position it left. As light re-enters the Tracker, two angle encoders measure the elevation and rotational angles while a highly accurate absolute distance meter is used to determine the 3D position of the retroreflector
Features of the FARO Vantage
Compact Size: The smallest and lightest FARO Laser Tracker ever built is incredibly easy to use and transport between job sites.
Water and Dust Resistant IP52 Rating: The Vantage can be used in demanding industrial conditions
New Carrying Cases: An innovative travel case system takes the concept of “portability” to a whole new level.
SmartFind: Quickly and efficiently locates and locks on to the correct target.
MultiView Cameras: This patent pending integrated two-camera system can automatically point to a specific target, and quickly and efficiently locate a target when the target is not in its normal position.
TruADM: Patented 5th generation ADM system provides the accuracy needed for everyday, real-world applications.
Integrated Wi-Fi: Simply measure anywhere within the wireless network’s range with no need to plug into a laptop computer for enhanced portability and convenience.
QuickComp: Optimizes measurements based on specific ranges to maintain high system accuracy.
TriMap Encoders: Three read head system that is self-mapping; enables faster service time in more convenient locations.

Features of the new FocusS Laser Scanner
The most recent FocusS series combines all benefits from FARO’s well-known Focus3D Laser Scanners with today’s most innovative
features to perform laser scanning in both indoor and outdoor environments – truly mobile, fast and reliable. Like the latestdevices from the Focus X series they support High Dynamic Range (HDR) photo recording.
What are the functions of HDR?
The HDR laser scanner models record HDR imagery. HDR means high dynamic range and is a technique to capture images with multiple exposure rates and merging them into a single HDR image layer. This HDR image provides additional details in dark or bright areas, which would have been lost in a standard image. These HDR images will be mapped onto the point cloud data generated by the laser scanner.
Main benefits:
- Reliable life-like visualization, even under extreme lighting conditions and large distance
- Safe and fast as-built data capturing with superior colour detail
- Reduced complexity by integrated scanning and imaging workflow for all kinds of scanning tasks
