Microgage PRO Plus works on a very simple principle: Laser light travels in a straight line. If you attach a laser transmitter to one assembly and a laser receiver to another, then the alignment of the two assemblies will equal the X/Y displacement of the laser beam at the receiver. And Microgage PRO Plus measures all his with a precision of 0.0001 inch over distances of up to 165 feet.

How It Works

A precise laser beam forms a straight reference line for a machine or assembly and each receiver measures in two axial directions, horizontal and vertical (X & Y).  The path of the laser beam can be a few inches up to 180 feet and a state of the art touchscreen display provides accurate readings as small as 0.0001 inch (2.5 micron).

ROTALIGN® touch is the first cloud-enabled touchscreen laser shaft alignment system with integrated mobile connectivity.

With ROTALIGN® touch, alignment trend is fully integrated into your asset management and condition-based maintenance programs.

Maintenance and Reliability managers can remotely prepare alignment jobs in the alignment software and connect to the Cloud to transfer them to a ROTALIGN® touch device, anywhere in the world. Alignment technicians receive alignment jobs directly on their ROTALIGN® touch device. Once completed, the jobs can be uploaded wirelessly back to the Cloud.

A direct connection from the ROTALIGN® touch to the alignment software is also possible.

Built-in RFID machine identification and asset-specific jobs make it possible to track the alignment condition of individual assets over time. The alignment trend provides meaningful information and can be used as a condition monitoring parameter to diagnose machine condition even more accurately.

    sensALIGN technology

    The sensALIGN Series technology is based on the inherent PRUFTECHNIK single laser technology providing highly precise measurement results and easy mounting and measuring in the field. sensALIGN 5 sensors include two HD large position-sensitive detectors (PSD) and MEMS inclinometers. Combined with the detector extension capability (InfiniRange), it is always possible to measure and document the initial alignment condition; no matter how big is the misalignment.     How to upgrade your firmware?

    • Please ensure the touch device is charged or has at least 50% battery capacity.

    • Unzip file to empty PRUFTECHNIK USB memory stick. Firmware is stored in "touch" folder.

    • Switch on the touch device. Wait for Home screen to appear.

    • Connect USB memory stick to the touch device USB port. New firmware copied from USB memory stick to the touch device.

    • After approximately 1 minute on-screen message box appears stating new upgrade firmware found. Tap green tick button to start upgrade. Remove USB memory stick from the touch device.

    • The touch device restarts and firmware upgrade begins.

    • After completion of firmware upgrade the touch device restarts and finishes in Home screen

With Easy-Laser XT770 you can perform shaft alignment of horizontally and vertically/flange mounted machines, and align machine trains with an unlimited number of machines. You can also measure twist of foundation, soft foot, bearing clearance, and more.

2 axis PSDs (position-sensitive detectors) permits adjustment of your machine both vertically and horizontally at the same time, with measuring units in any position. We call it 360° Live adjustment.

Dynamic measurement

The Microgage 2D laser alignment tool can be adapted to a wide variety of industrial measuring and alignment requirements. Each receiver measures in two axial directions (X & Y) and can be used for checking straightness, flatness, parallelism, squareness, bores, spindles, and other alignment needs.

How It Works

Capture precise measurements as small as 0.0001 inch (2.5 micron). The easy to use Microgage 2D laser transmitter and electrical receiver can be separated by a few inches up to 150 feet for large industrial projects. A highly collimated, low power laser beam is projected from the end of the laser housing. The electronic receiver picks up the laser beam allowing the display to provide a digital readout showing the height and lateral position of the laser beam. If the laser transmitter and receiver are resting on a common flat surface, the display will read zero. If the transmitter or the receiver is then raised off the surface, or moved side to side, the differential position will then be displayed. Combining the laser and receiver with various optics and mounting accessories allows the Microgage laser alignment tool to measure all sorts of two dimensional alignment parameters.

How It Works

Capture precise measurements as small as 0.0001 inch (2.5 micron). The easy to use Microgage 2D laser transmitter and electrical receiver can be separated by a few inches up to 150 feet for large industrial projects. A highly collimated, low power laser beam is projected from the end of the laser housing. The electronic receiver picks up the laser beam allowing the display to provide a digital readout showing the height and lateral position of the laser beam. If the laser transmitter and receiver are resting on a common flat surface, the display will read zero. If the transmitter or the receiver is then raised off the surface, or moved side to side, the differential position will then be displayed. Combining the laser and receiver with various optics and mounting accessories allows the Microgage laser alignment tool to measure all sorts of two dimensional alignment parameters.

The Microgage 2D begins with a basic laser alignment kit that is compact, versatile and easy to use. Adding various precision alignment accessories and attachments expands the capabilities of the Microgage 2D to address virtually any industrial measuring and alignment application.

With Easy-Laser XT770 you can perform shaft alignment of horizontally and vertically/flange mounted machines, and align machine trains with an unlimited number of machines. You can also measure twist of foundation, soft foot, bearing clearance, and more.

2 axis PSDs (position-sensitive detectors) permits adjustment of your machine both vertically and horizontally at the same time, with measuring units in any position. We call it 360° Live adjustment.

Dynamic measurement
The EasyTrend program, part of the XT Alignment app, allows you to keep track of machine movement over time. This is useful when checking for thermal expansion and pipe strain issues for example. Laser Sensor Measuring Heads

Each measuring head emits a laser line, which is projected onto the detector of the other unit.

  • The measuring units are fitted with mechanical brackets for attachment to the shafts, but can also be attached using chains.
  • Both measuring units emit a laser line, which is projected on the position sensor detector and a line scale on the outer unit.
  • The measuring units are also equipped with spirit level, which allows easy positioning in the 9, 12, and 3 o'clock positions.

Handheld Display Unit

  • The display units is operated using just 5 buttons, including the on/off button and provides clear "real-time" of both coupling and feet values during the alignment process.

How It Works

Modern measuring is no harder then extending your arm with Pinpoint’s 2000. Simplifying your laser alignment process, the Microgage 2000 bridges the gap between how your business used to measure and how you should measure now. Because measuring with the 2000 is as simple as aligning with a tape measure or piano wire, your team is able to get top-notch results minus the sag and faulty “accuracy” given by inferior measurement tools.

The laser transmitter projects a thin line of laser light to a digital receiver and a display for measuring displacement. Measurements as small as 0.0001 inch are displayed and the laser and receiver can be separated by as much as 120 feet for large industrial projects.

Components

3 primary components: 2000 laser transmitter, digital receiver & digital display

The laser housing contains a flat, machined aluminum base while a variety of mounting points are custom drilled into the sides. A collimated laser beam projects from the end of the laser housing unit, running parallel to the base and sides of the housing. A receiver picks up the laser beam allowing the handheld display to provide a digital readout showing the position of the laser beam on the receiver. If the laser transmitter and receiver are resting on a flat surface, the display will read zero. If the transmitter or receiver is raised off the surface, the differential position will then be displayed.

Hamar Laser Stealth S-670 Laser Shaft Alignment System - Used (Stealth S-670)
The unique dual laser beam super linear 3-axis measuring technology of the S-670 provides direct position and angle measurements with micron resolution and automatic rotation sensing, as well as a 30mm x 10mm sensor measurement range to directly accommodate initial rough shaft and coupling alignment.

This system allows shaft and coupling alignments to be done quickly and simply with a single sweep of the shafts through any angle (> 60 degrees) to automatically generate required alignment shimming and adjustment values. Start and stop of the laser shaft rotation can be done at any angle and are automatically sensed, with no buttons to press.

Live alignment graphics of the shaft rotation show the operator exactly where he is in the alignment process and what data has been recorded.

Fully wireless Bluetooth operation is standard, eliminating potentially dangerous cables from the working area, making shaft rotations easier and allowing the touchscreen display to be moved to any convenient position, which is especially useful during “live” foot adjustment on large equipment. The Bluetooth radio module is built into the laser receiver and does not require additional batteries.

The laser and target are equipped with the latest technology in rechargeable internal Lithium Polymer batteries, suitable for more than a full day’s work without recharging (laser 125 hours, target 15 hours continuous use).

The operator is fully guided through a clear and simple 5-point laser alignment checklist by the system software, which includes soft-foot measurement and correction prior to shaft and coupling alignment.

The laser control unit provides a high resolution graphics display with live, easy to read values of the required shims and a dynamic image of the shaft alignment errors, all displayed in a single screen. The live display clearly guides equipment adjustments, both horizontally and vertically.

Total elimination of the traditional need for “Clock” shaft positions to be correctly oriented and for laser reading values to be inverted according to shaft radial positions removes common sources of operator error.

A laser range of 10m makes the system also highly suitable for long shaft alignments and jack shaft couplings.

A detailed laser alignment report is automatically generated with one click, including your contact details and logo, and the full customer and machine details and any application notes. Any number of reports may be saved in the tablet control computer, and may be printed or uploaded over WIFI, without the need for special data transfer connections or synching software. The control is email ready for direct submission of reports from the project site.

The standard laser system includes mounting adaptors for shafts from 25mm to 150mm diameter, with short 100mm and long 200mm mounting posts for different coupling sizes. Optional extension chains allow the laser to be used on shafts up to 450mm diameter or larger. Magnetic mounting brackets and adaptors for non-rotating shaft alignments are also available.

All Stealth laser systems are linearised through their full measurement range and are factory calibrated with a recommended 2 year recalibration date.

With intelliSWEEP, you only get the best measurement results under any external and environmental conditions. Using a number of quality factors such as vibration and backlash, poor quality measurement points are automatically filtered out.

Live Move enables one-step machine adjustments through the simultaneous monitoring of machine corrections in both vertical and horizontal directions with the sensor at any angular position on the shaft. Not only does this save a lot of time and effort but it is also extremely useful in case of restricted access to predetermined shaft positions.

The modular system is easily configured with expert modules such as Vibration Acceptance Check, Live Trend for the monitoring of thermal growth, simultaneous multi-coupling measurement, RFID machine identification, and geometric measurements.

A class 1 Bluetooth module is integrated. PDF reports can be generated and directly saved from the system onto a USB stick. Our alignment software is used for preparing, analyzing, archiving measurement files and printing professional reports.
