The Waygate Technologies Krautkramer Spotchecker, a Baker Hughes business product (formerly GE Inspection Technologies), is a hand-held flaw-detector for testing spotwelds in situ on the production line. The The GE Inspection Technologies USN 60 flaw detector is designed for outdoor use with two independent gates to monitor amplitude and soundpath distance for both flaw detection and thickness measurement applications. It features pulse echo, dual, and thru-transmission test modes as well as measurement modes for zero-to-first and multi-echo with selectable flank or peak detection. This flaw detector also calculates weld ratings according to AWS specification D1.1 (formula D=A-B-C).

SplitView is Dual Timebase feature allowing the user to view the full range of the area under inspection in one window while at the same time presenting the user with a resizable second window. The second window has a separately adjustable, Range and Delay. The second window can be fixed a specific place in time or set to automatically track (AutoTrack) an echo over a predefined level. SplitView also provides the ability to resize the top to bottom window proportion. For instance, the top window can be set to 10% of the available active display while the lower window would be 90%.
