The Leica AT401 tracker is designed as an all-in-one device, incorporating a live video function, an electronic level, a weather station, and a built-in IR remote control. The measuring system and its carrying case weigh no more than 15 kg, and the minimum configuration fits in the overhead bins of most airlines.

Aerospace.

Design feature

Sealed to IP54
Independently certified to IEC 60529 for use in any, even the most severe, operating conditions.

This enables measurements in conditions where other laser trackers are inapplicable. The controller is positioned so it doesn't interfere with operator movement around the instrument, for example, when attached to a tripod.

Wireless operation
There is no need to worry about temporarily connecting to AC power supply - the meter is capable of continuous operation while replacing the battery pack.

Automatic target identification (ATR mode)
The automatic target identification mode (ATR mode) provides continuous tracking and precise positioning using various types of reflectors in a typical spherical measurement volume with a radius of up to 320 m.

PowerLock beam restoration technology
There is no need to worry about “beam interruption”: the tracker will automatically lock onto the user, saving up to 20% of the time it would take to perform similar operations using conventional laser technologies in other trackers.

Proven Absolute Range Finder (ADM) technology
The Leica Geosystems absolute rangefinder always delivers the highest accuracy: the absolute rangefinder has a resolution of 0.1 µm and a maximum uncertainty of 10 µm over the entire spherical measurement volume with a radius of 160 m.

Quick-release tribrach and precision encoder alignment
Built-in "geodetic grade" leveling with a level sensor, combined with the use of a simple three-screw quick-release platform for quick and easy reinstallation and adjustment of the machine.

Viewfinder camera
The built-in viewfinder camera allows for quick targeting of the tracker during remote and fixed installation.

Built-in environmental monitoring tools    Automatic means for reading updated environmental parameter data ensure the elimination of incorrect calculations or errors in entering and using initial data.
Leica Geosystems' proprietary quadrupole (with spatial and frequency diversity) absolute angle measurement system
Absolute angle sensors provide ISO 17123-3 traceable accuracy of 0.5 inches with 0.07 inch resolution for guaranteed system accuracy over extremely long measurement distances.

Power supply from the Ethernet local area network
Due to its low power consumption, the meter is capable of operating using POE technology - Power over Ethernet for powering wireless adapters, which transmits both electrical power and data via a single standard Category 5 (Cat5 LAN) cable.
